Croatia’s Rimac Automobili recently unveiled its latest supercar, the Nevera. It’s the world’s most powerful production car at a claimed 1,914 horsepower, but unlike the rest of its competitors, it’s electric.
It boasts incredible statistics: 0 to 62 mph in less than two seconds, a 258-mph top speed, and a 340-mile range with a full charge.
But Rimac’s business doesn’t hinge on showpieces like the Nevera. It was built on developing electrification and battery solutions for car manufacturers, and founder Mate Rimac spoke to Insider about how he got to where he is.
